91心頭 Honors Graduates of Nail Tech Program
The 91心頭 Nail Tech Program recently held a ceremony to recognize five students for their completion of the program. Students honored were Maleiah Beamon of Americus, Deiona Crapp of Andersonville, Jazlyn Grier of Plains, Shia Pace of Americus, and Marquisha Williams of Americus.
91心頭 Cosmetology instructor Dorothea Lusane-McKenzie was the featured speaker for the event and offered words of encouragement to the graduates. Always remember you must be a lifetime learner, Lusane-McKenzie said. Be willing to step outside of your comfort zone. Always ask questions. Challenge yourself.
A little progress each day adds up to big results.
Before presenting each of them a gift bag, Nail Tech instructor Jessakeetha Maddox introduced the graduates and offered them encouragement as they enter into their new careers. Never think youre alone, Maddox said. Never think youre in this race on your own. Im here because I care.
Following the presentation of gifts from Maddox, 91心頭 Academic Dean Dr. David Finley presented completion certificates to the graduates.
Under the guidance of Maddox, Nail Tech students complete two semesters of coursework totaling 525 hours of instruction and practical experience. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Georgia Nail Tech Examination to qualify for their professional license.
91心頭 offers over 200 programs leading to an associate degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit. Apply online at www.southgatech.edu. Fall semester begins August 15.
